It's no secret that Heidi Swanson has been a huge inspiration to me, so it's fitting that I kick off my 8SAFE 'Chef' series with this famed cookbook author & blogger.

As I'm forever on the hunt to find recipes that are 8SAFE (free of gluten and the top eight food allergens), I did a quick search of the 101 Cookbooks website and found 20 of Heidi's recipes that can easily be made 8SAFE.

Mind you, this was not an extensive search — Heidi is currently topping over 700 recipes on her site! 

Keep in mind that many of Heidi Swanson's recipes can easily become 8SAFE by simply switching or omitting an ingredient — but these particular recipes are 8SAFE as writtenno substitutions or omissions necessary. I promise, you can easily source gluten & top eight free ingredients to use in these recipes and keep them 8SAFE.
